Nowadays the orchestra is frequently invited to perform at Europe's premier concert venues and festivals in addition to its own programme of concerts in Basel. The Kammerorchester Basel is generally conducted by the orchestra's own leader, though a highly fruitful cooperation has also developed between the ensemble and its first guest conductor Giovanni Antonini.
