Zschokke fountain

The Zschokke fountain is located between the main building and the new annex of the Kunstmuseum Basel, near the Wettsteinbrücke.

Beschreibung

It can hold 50,000 litres of water in its large basin and is officially called the “Drei Lebensalter-Brunnen” (Three Ages Fountain). It was artist Alexander Zschokke (1894–1981) who placed the three bronze figures on the pedestal, representing childhood/youth, adulthood and old age.
