In 2022, the Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival will be held in Pratteln and thus for the first time in its history in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. The event will be attended by 280 wrestlers and 100 pikers. Around 47,000 enthusiastic fans of Switzerland's national sport will watch the wrestling competitions in the seven sawdust rings live on site in the temporary arena specially built for the occasion. Around 350,000 visitors are expected in Pratteln.
